Privacy Policy — Badam HeadMod

Last updated: August 5th, 2026

Badam HeadMod ("the extension") is a browser extension for Chromium-based browsers that lets a user view and modify the HTTP request/response headers sent by their own browser, on a per-site basis, and clear cookies for a site.

Summary

Badam HeadMod does not collect, store remotely, transmit, sell, or share any user data. There is no analytics SDK, no telemetry, no crash reporter, no server component, and no remotely loaded code of any kind. Every feature runs entirely inside the user's own browser.

What the extension can access, and why

Data Accessed for Ever leaves the device?
HTTP request/response headers To let the user create rules that add, modify, or remove headers on requests they choose to target, and to show the headers actually sent for the page they're viewing. No.
Cookies To let the user view and delete cookies for the site in their active tab, or clear cookies across all sites if they choose to. No.
The active tab's URL To determine which site's cookies/headers to display in the popup, and to match a rule's URL filter. No.
navigator.userAgent / navigator.userAgentData (JavaScript environment) Only if the user opts a specific rule into overriding these values, to keep a page's JavaScript-visible User-Agent consistent with a header rule the user authored. No.

All rule configuration (the header rules a user creates) is stored locally using the browser's chrome.storage.local API. It is never synced to any external service by this extension, and never transmitted anywhere.

Permissions

A full explanation of each permission the extension requests, and why, is available in the extension's README and in its Chrome Web Store "Privacy practices" listing. In short: every permission is used exclusively to power a feature the user directly interacts with (creating a header rule, clearing a cookie, viewing captured headers, or opting a rule into User-Agent sync). None are used for tracking, advertising, or any purpose beyond the extension's stated function.

Third parties

Badam HeadMod does not share data with any third party, because it does not transmit data anywhere in the first place. It contains no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly, and the update will be reflected in the version published to the Chrome Web Store.
